What is Personal Training?
Personal training is a 1 to 1 coaching session to help you find your fitness goals and develop a detailed exercise and nutrition plan. It is focused on helping you perform exercises correctly, stick to the best diet for you, and keeps you accountable as you progress.
Who is Personal Training for?
Anyone who wants to exercise! Personal trainers can adapt an exercise program to any level of fitness or experience, from complete beginners to high level sports. Age is also no issue - there are exercises beneficial for kids and retirees alike.
If you have a medical condition or injury, and are unsure whether you should be exercising or not, please see one of our physiotherapists. They will be able to assess you, and determine if you are fit to exercise, and at what level.
What can I expect from a Personal Training session?
In your first session, you will meet your trainer and discuss the specific goals you want to achieve. You will establish ways to measure and track your progress with your trainer. Your trainer will give you an exercise program and a nutritional program if you need. Your trainer will show you how to perform your exercises.
Follow up sessions will review your progress and adjust your program as needed. Feel free to ask questions and let your trainer know if something doesn't feel right.
